The man often referred to as the Jimi Hendrix of the keyboards is dead. Bernie Worrell died at the age of 71 Friday. His keyboard playing for Parliament-Funkadelic in the 70s and 80s influenced musicians of funk, rock, hip-hop and more. His wife Judie announced on his Facebook page that Worrell died at his home in Washington state from lung cancer. The classically-trained Worrell also worked with the Talking Heads, Keith Richards and the Pretenders.
